The Role This is initially a contracting position due to the need for a quick commencement but it is highly likely that the position will move towards permanency in the near future. This is a busy and challenging Financial Accounting role that reports directly to the Finance Manager and then on to the CFO. The Person To be successful in this role you will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role. You will be CA/CPA qualified or near qualified. You will possess high level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy and have a positive and proactive approach, with experience in meeting tight end of month deadlines for key deliverables, ideally experience reporting to an overseas parent company. A working understanding of SOx obligations is advantageous but not essential. You must have exceptional Excel skills and be a current user of an ERP system with experience in SAP or JD Edwards being particularly valued. Experience in migrating from one ERP system to another is also highly advantageous. You will have experience preparing statutory accounts, budgeting and forecasting and BAS/FBT returns.
