Requirements The successful candidate will bring to the role: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar/related field. Ideally coming from Engineering background, technical leadership is required. Proven years' experience in a leadership role within the Automotive Manufacturing industry or a similar/related field. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, quality assurance standards, and supply chain management. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams of engineers and other professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret technical data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements governing engineering and manufacturing industries. Report directly to the COO, lead a team of about 37 people in Brisbane and Auckland, and manage $33 million turn over per annum. Willingness to travel as needed – AU, NZ & US.
